Terry Thompson
is the President of
1st HOME.cc.
He has been in housing since 1971. Originally starting as a
home builder and real estate broker specializing in
affordable housing in Tuckerton, New Jersey. In 1982 he
moved to Summerfield, Florida and continued in the
affordable housing field, specializing in manufactured
housing. He worked for both manufacturers and retailers,
managing as many as 5 retail operations at one time. He also
became licensed both as a Real Estate Broker and Mortgage
Broker.
In 1998 he joined a non profit housing
agency (Neighborhood Housing and Development Corporation) in Gainesville,
Florida with the purpose of expanding into the Marion County market.
Seeing the need for providing help to first time buyers and using his
knowledge of the many financing programs and grants available to low and
moderate income families, 1st
HOME.cc was started. It is a
computer based company helping to increase the awareness of Government
foreclosures.
Terry currently runs a Homebuyer
Education Seminar one Saturday per month. It is approved by both Marion
County and Ocala SHIP programs.
